When we were in India staying at the beautiful ashram of the great saint Anandamayi Ma in Omkareswar by the sacred river Narmada, our dearest friend and resident of the ashram, Swami Mangalananda shared with us his dream: "I'd love to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ma's Mahasamadhi (passing) with a CD, wouldn't be wonderful to have a compilation of chants to Ma with Krishna Das, Snatam Kaur and Deva Premal & Miten, etc.? It will also help support the school that the ashram runs for many years to come". It so happened that a graphic designer, a former publicity executive and a kirtan promoter (us) happened to be in the ashram at the same time. After experiencing so much love from the kids who live in the ashram and all the other 500 kids that attend the school founded and run by the ashram, his dream became ours as well.

So we set out to finance and produce the CD hoping to have some of the artists that Swami Mangalananda mentioned. And after contacting them one by one and receiving a warm yes from all of them, we knew in our hearts that the project was blessed by Anandamayi Ma. It took almost 5 months to complete it but we finally have the CDs in our hands. 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of the CD will go towards supporting the ashram and school in Omkareswar. What you'll get in return is 8 amazing chants to the Divine Mother from some of your favorite kirtan artists and of course, so many blessings for helping those kids.

Swami Mangalananda is one of the featured chant artists coming to Boston Yoga and Chant Fest in October, so everyone will have the opportunity to meet him and find out about other wonderful opportunities to help, which include visiting the ashram and teaching at the school.
